Global Warming February 2010

      'Snowmageddon' buries Mid-Atlantic

So we got another record breaking snowfall Friday Night Feb. 5 and Saturday February 6, with another storm expected tomorrow night!  It’s making history they say, but me and Dad’s love is making history too, so we say, make hay while the snowfalls!

Word to the wise:  Never wear your scarf outside your coat in a snowstorm---it’s a snow-magnet and is pretty ineffective at keeping you warm when it is wet!  (But it did dry nice while we ate our dinner!)

Do venture out when the snowstorm is just beginning, with someone incredibly handsome that could carry you home if needed (prerequisite:  You have to be married to him)!

Do order the “Winter Special” from Johnny Rockets.  It’s only 4.99 and will warm you up!  I promise, their menu calls it their “Winter Special!”DSCN0312

Besides cheese, and onions, it had barbecue sauce on it.  Yummy!

Do take a “prom shot” with the one you love!

Behind me you can just barely make out my scarf and gloves drying while we enjoyed being together!

By all means, take in a movie: just not that one!  We had fun anyway!  The line in the movie that was the most significant was:  ‘I have learned that there are no shortcuts to the life I want!  Since all of you already know that, it would waste your time to go!

This picture was taken on our way out of the movie, so you can see it is snowing harder by then!

Just rounding the corner from the movie theatre!  Hurray home!

But it’s too pretty to not stop for a picture or two!

This sign is already beginning to be buried in the snow!

Fresh powder on my snowboots---Man am I glad I bought them!

$39.99 at the Timberland Outlet Store---the best purchase I made this winter!  Of course, I am amply supplied in the coat, hat, scarf and gloves department thanks to Dad, Mike and Connie!

Finally getting home that night about 9:30 p.m.  It will snow in the night and during the next day!

The dog did not look like she was having fun in the snow at all. Then again the snow was chest deep for her...
