What we’ve been up to since Spring Break 2010

DSCN1115So, my goal was to blog about our adventures, but the sheer work of our project has just made it so that about all I can do is work, (after going to seminary and work in the daytime), and then crash into bed each night.  I am stealing a moment now which should be devoted to work, but I did want to keep you all updated (at least a little since we progress each night!  My job is to be the stripper(the paint stripper for those who may have other thoughts), and believe me, it is quite the job!  I had  to do all of the cabinets, before they could be repainted by Dad.  Yes, he helped too, but he has also been the workhorse behind the large projects (I call him a STUD) and he is doing a marvelous job at all of them.  DSCN1138 Saturday he installed (I held it up for him )the built in microwave) and he also did half of the countertops!  It all looks great!  Day before yesterday, he installed the lightning under the countertops to give us some ambient light (the nightlight effect).  Home Depot has become our second home, and I now have man hands from the work I am doing to match the man calves that Michael noticed I sported when I had my running clothes on!  More to follow, but for now, I have more work to do!  Enjoy our accomplishments!DSCN1195 DSCN1133 DSCN1142 DSCN1169 DSCN1194

Our Day at the Washington, DC Temple

Wednesday March 31st was a beautiful day!  Here Dad and I are at the DC Temple.  Daffodils abound here in DC, Maryland and Virginia! I couldn't resist going to Rock Creek Park afterwards to eat our lunch!  Such a beautiful Spring Day!  Wish you were here!
